This week's Illustration Friday theme was HARD! Lord knows our families and friends have known a lot of sorrow in the last years. I've seen the deepest sorrow in eyes of people I love,too much lately. It makes me feel helpless and want to offer people my heart.
I'm a little behind this week and just did a rough version for Illustration Friday's theme this week...flight. This is in honor of the kitty hat I knit and then lost recently and the snowy winds we had last week that felt like you could be swept up to the moon!
My sweetie Farmer surprised me with all these things for early Valentines day right before I left town to spend time with some girlfriends. One of which was in the middle of a separation and was the reason for the whole trip. She is devistated,has a toddler and has a lot of scary hard decisions in front of her. While she was talking about her woes and all the things he did and said and didn't do and didn't say. I realized how really lucky I am. Things aren't perfect by any means, but I feel like I have the world at home and feel excited to see him everyday. (even when we're both grumpy and have had crappy days.)
